Which hardware do I need?
The kit depends on what you fix the corners to, not on the sail size.
What will you fix the corners to?
A black rectangle shade sail in PU-coated Oxford polyester, with a stainless steel corner fastener (D-ring on a webbing strap) at every corner and 4 tensioning ropes included. Designed to create a cool, shaded spot over a patio, deck, pool area, sandpit or balcony, fixed to walls, posts or sturdy trees.

Wall and post fittings (pad eyes, carabiners, turnbuckles) are sold separately: our 8-piece Wall Mount Kit, or two 2-point Hardware Kits, fix this sail. Posts are not included – you need 4 solid anchor points, such as a masonry wall, a structural beam or post, or a sturdy tree.

Installation
- Fix two diagonally opposite corners higher than the other two so rain runs off. As a general rule of thumb allow a slope of around 20% (about 20 cm of drop per metre).
- Leave 15–30 cm between each corner and its anchor point for the fittings and tensioning.
- Tension the sail firmly so the fabric sits flat without wrinkles or pockets where water could collect.
- Take the sail down in strong winds and storms, and over winter if it is not in use.
- This is a shade sail, not a waterproof roof: it is designed for shade, so take it down or angle it for run-off in heavy rain.

Is the fixing hardware included?
Your sail comes with its tensioning ropes. Pad eyes, carabiners and turnbuckles come in our fixing kits, sold separately: one Wall Mount Kit or two 2-point kits for a rectangle, one 3-point kit for a triangle.
Is it waterproof?
No: it's a water-resistant sail, not a waterproof roof. Give it a clear slope so rain runs off, and never let water pool on the fabric.
How long does delivery take?
Orders usually leave an Australian warehouse within 1 business day. Metro delivery takes about 6 business days in total; some products show a longer estimate on their page, and regional areas can take longer. Large items can come in several cartons.
